This policy defines the procedures and responsibilities related to the expiration and restoration of domain name registrations. It supplements Article 11 of the General Conditions<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Article 1: Responsibility and Renewal<\/h3>\n

1.1 Active Duty of Care:<\/b> Digi Hosting renews domain name registration not automatically<\/b>, unless explicitly configured by the Customer through the control panel. The Customer bears sole responsibility for the timely renewal and keeping the contact information of the domain name holder accurate. 1.2 Payment as Instruction:<\/b> A domain name registration is technically effected only after integral receipt of payment of the renewal invoice.<\/p>\n

Article 2: Reminder procedure (Pre-expiry Notices).<\/h3>\n

To prevent inadvertent expiration, Digi Hosting maintains a strict reminder cycle. Five (5) email notices will be sent to the email address known to us:<\/p>\n

    27, 14, 7, 3 and 1 day(s)<\/b> before the due date.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Each notification will include the due date and a Pro Forma invoice. If payment is not processed by Digi Hosting by the due date, the invoice will automatically expire and the domain name will not be renewed. Digi Hosting is not liable for non-receipt of these notifications due to factors beyond its control (e.g., spam filters or outdated email addresses).<\/p>\n

    Article 3: Post-expiry status.<\/h3>\n

    If a domain name passes the expiration date without successful renewal, the following modalities take effect: 3.1 Final Due Date Notification:<\/b> Within five (5) days of expiration, Digi Hosting will send a mandatory notification that the domain has expired (in accordance with ICANN rules for gTLDs). 3.2 Deactivation:<\/b> The domain name is immediately removed from the DNS zone, making linked websites and e-mail services unavailable.<\/p>\n

    Article 4: Redemption Grace Period (RGP).<\/h3>\n

    After the domain name expires, for most extensions (such as .com, .net, .org, .uk), a Recovery period (RGP).<\/b> in of usually 30 days<\/b>. 4.1 Limitations:<\/b> During the RGP, the domain name cannot be moved to another registrar. 4.2 Repair Costs:<\/b> To restore a domain at this stage, significant administrative and repair costs<\/b> charged in addition to the regular renewal price. These fees are payable to the registry and are charged in full to the Customer. Please contact support@digi.hosting for current rates per extension. 4.3 No Warranty:<\/b> Digi Hosting can never guarantee the successful restoration of a domain name in the RGP phase; this depends on the cooperation of the umbrella registry.<\/p>\n

    Article 5: Specific Registry Terms.<\/h3>\n

    5.1 Variable Deadlines:<\/b> Customer acknowledges that specific ccTLDs (such as .be<\/b> and .nl<\/b>) apply different expiration procedures and quarantine periods. The regulations of DNS Belgium and SIDN respectively shall apply in these cases in full. 5.2 Language:<\/b> All communication regarding domain expiration shall be in the language of the original agreement or in English, depending on the regulations of the relevant registry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
