Vault is your personal password vault in the client area. Store the passwords for your webshop, email or social media, for example, and find the login details of your services.
Creating your vault
- Log in to the client area and open "Vault · Passwords" in the menu.
- Choose a master password of at least 12 characters. A sentence of a few words is strong and easy to remember.
- Keep the recovery code you are shown: copy, download or print it. You only see it once.
- Tick that you have stored the recovery code safely and click "Create vault".
Adding a password
- Click "Add password".
- Enter a name, username and password, and optionally the website and notes. "Generate strong password" creates one for you right away.
- Click "Save".
When you copy a password, the clipboard is cleared after 30 seconds.
How safe is this?
Everything is encrypted in your browser before it reaches us. We never see your passwords, your master password or your recovery code. If you are inactive for a while, the vault locks itself.
Forgot your master password?
Click "Forgot your master password?", enter your recovery code and choose a new master password. Your passwords are kept.
If you lose both your master password and your recovery code, nobody can read your passwords anymore, not even us. We can then only erase your vault so you can start over.
Login details of your services
The "Service logins" tab shows the username and the panel link of your active services. The password only appears when you click it.
