Manage DNS records in DirectAdmin

Updated on 4 November 20261 min read

With DNS records you decide where your website, mail and other services point to.

Here's how

  1. Go to Account Manager → DNS Management.
  2. Choose the domain if you have several.
  3. Click Add Record, choose the type (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, …), enter the name and value and click Add.
  4. You change or delete a record with the buttons next to the record.

A change is usually visible everywhere within the hour, sometimes up to 24 hours.

Prefer an explanation for each record? You can also manage your DNS in DigiPanel, with a warning if something's wrong.

More about the types: see What is a DNS A record, MX record, TXT record …
