Protect a folder with a password

Put a password on a folder, e.g. a test version of your site or a folder with documents.

Here's how

1. Go to Advanced Features → Password Protected Directories.
2. Choose the folder (e.g. domains/yourdomain.be/public_html/test).
3. Tick Enable, give the login window a name and enter a username and password.
4. Click Save. Visitors now get a login window.

Tip: type the name of a feature in the search field at the top of DirectAdmin (in Dutch or English) and you'll find it right away.
