A subdomain is a separate address under your domain, with its own folder. Handy for a web shop, a blog or a test version. You don't need to buy an extra domain name for it.

Here's how #

1. Easiest: in DigiPanel under Website → Subdomains.
2. In DirectAdmin: Account Manager → Subdomain Management → Add Subdomain.
3. Enter the name (e.g. shop) and click Add.
4. Upload the files to domains/yourdomain.be/public_html/shop (or install WordPress there).
5. Activate SSL for the subdomain (see Activate free SSL).

For Google a subdomain is a separate site. Want your blog to count towards your main site? Then put it in a folder instead (yourdomain.be/blog).
