With Softaculous you install WordPress in a few clicks, database included. You don't have to upload anything yourself.

Here's how #

1. Log in to DirectAdmin (via your client area: Open DirectAdmin).
2. Under Extra Features, choose Softaculous Auto Installer, or type "Softaculous" in the search field.
3. Click WordPress and then Install.
4. Choose your domain under Choose Domain. Leave In Directory empty if WordPress should be on your main address (yourdomain.be), or enter a folder (e.g. blog).
5. Enter your site name, your admin name, a strong password and your email address.
6. Click Install at the bottom. After a minute you get the link to your new site and to wp-admin.

Always choose an admin name other than "admin": it makes things harder for attackers.

Is there already a website in public_html? Then choose a folder or delete the old files first, otherwise they'll be overwritten.

Tip: type the name of a feature in the search field at the top of DirectAdmin (in Dutch or English) and you'll find it right away.
