Hacked, attacked or overloaded? Take your site offline with one click, or block whoever is bombarding your site.
Here's how #
- Log in to your client area (my.digi.hosting), go to Services and click your plan. Choose Manage: that opens DigiPanel.
- Go to the Emergency button tab.
- Take offline: optionally write a message for your visitors and confirm. They see a neat maintenance page; you see your site as usual.
- Block: under "Who is loading your site right now?" you see the visitors with the most requests. Click Block next to a bot or attacker.
- Done? Put your site back online or click Release.
The emergency button works for your plan's main domain. Search engines get the signal that your site is temporarily away; you don't lose your place in Google.
